Are you a young researcher, PhD student, post-doc or in the beginning of your research carrier? Are you focusing your work on how landscapes are used in an integrated way? Welcome to our young researchers meeting in Gothenburg 7-8 June and discuss with likeminded.

At the meeting there will also be a multidisciplinary group of senior scientists present that have vast experiences on the topic, and that will be able to give feedback to you on manuscripts and/or formulated approaches. We hope to attract researchers from all disciplines.

If your abstract is selected, your travel (within Sweden) and stay in Gothenburg for the workshop will be financed.

The event is organized by SIANI, SLU-Global, Focali and AgriFoSe2030

 

The workshop is organized around three sub - themes:

1. Intensification in multifunctional landscapes – possibilities and contradictions? Anders Malmer, SLU. Keywords: land degradation, climate adaptation, value chains, demand, restoration, agroforestry, water, fertilizers, pesticides.

2. Planning in multifunctional landscapes – factors and actors?
Per Knutsson, University of Gothenburg.
Keywords: private, common, tenure, governance, subsidies, markets, WTO, infrastructure, monitoring, farmers, extension services

3. Triple win in multifunctional landscapes - climate smart, sustainable and profitable - is it possible? Thilde Bech Bruun, University of Copenhagen. Keywords: climate change, system analysis, green house gas emissions, innovations, carbon stocks, nutrients, agroforestry, climate policy, risks, adaptation, resilience.

 

Abstract submission:

Submit your abstract to Margarita.Cuadra@slu.se before May 13 2016, indicating which sub-theme you would like to focus on.
