Focali has since December 2014 been one of five members of the cluster group "Water and Forests" hosted by the Swedish Water House together with SLU Global,Swedish Forestry Agency, SSC Forestry and Sveaskog. We are proud to announce that the cluster group will be represented at the World Forestry Congress (WFC2015) in Durban, South Africa and take part in the special event International Forests and Water dialogue on September 8-9.

This group brings together the Swedish resource base in the area of ”management of forest and water” to investigate how it can contribute to international development in this issue. An important task for the cluster group has been to develop policy recommendations for decision makers both in and outside Sweden. They also follow and participate in international processes relevant to their research area. 

During the two-day dialogue at WFC2015 the group will present a report and a policy brief based on their previous work on "Water, forests, people - building resilient landscapes". These publications are products of regular meetings, seminars and workshops with the Swedish resource base.
