Sustainable Landscapes are essential for the future we want: for food, livelihoods, health, renewable materials, energy, biodiversity, business development, trade, climate regulation and water. The new phase of the Global Landscapes Forum aspires to create a movement of 1 billion people around sustainable landscapes to reach an audience larger than before, placing communities and local realities at the center of the conversation.
At this years event, Focali, SIANI and SLU Global will host a booth at the Development Solutions pavilion - a stage where innovative and unique solutions to global development challenges are highlighted. Also, Focali-researcher Aida Bargués Tobella will present her research at the side event on 'Rainfall recycling' as a landscape function: Connecting SDG's 6, 13 and 15, hosted by the CGIAR Research Program on Forests, Trees and Agroforestry (FTA) and the International Union of Forest Research Organizations (IUFRO). SIANI together with SEI and Rare will also host a side event on Land use change through behavior change, showing the importance of a change in mindset as well as a change in policy.
