The serious humanitarian crisis faced by Colombia in recent months is a reflection of a long history of unresolved social conflicts. In this panel, we propose to discuss from the social and natural sciences, how science has been interested in investigating the effects of war on biodiversity and propose actions for peace, but also how scientists have been affected by this conflict.
